Wax on, wax off
Over the course of over 35 years of grooming my bush, I’ve had everything from a full 1970s overgrown forest, to a precisely manicured garden, finely mowed and trimmed landing strip, and now Brazilian baby soft nothingness. I admit, at the moment, I’ve got an overgrown Brazilian that’s a bit of a splotchy uneven mess. I don’t mind having a bit of hair, so my preference is a Brazilian or a tiny landing strip, just around my clit. I find having too much hair around my pussy gets scratchy and irritating. Given Maestro’s love for licking pussy, he likes having everything smooth. So my conclusion is that considerate grooming options are the same for men and women. He makes sure his beard is trimmed so long hairs don’t irritate my pussy and his bush is trimmed so it’s soft around my face when I’m giving him a blowjob, and I wax to ensure my pussy hairs don’t irritate him around his mouth. No one wants to have thick, coarse hair jabbing them up the nose, or as makeshift toothpicks!
I’ve used a few different types of wax over the years, but the kind I like the best is hot wax. I tried a sugar-based one years ago that was very smooth and easy to apply. I’m currently used a candy apple flavoured one – it was on sale and Maestro kind of likes the smell and taste. My advice if you’re new to waxing is to read the instructions. Seriously. You want to test it out on a small patch as a test. Don’t mess with the skin around your pussy. Most products advise you to apply a thin layer of wax and work quickly – totally agree. More wax isn’t better, it just gets goopier. And you work quickly so the wax doesn’t cool off, making it harder to spread. I also use a post- shaving and waxing oil to help reduce the redness and bumpiness afterwards. It usually takes my skin about 6-8 hours before all the redness is gone.
Of course I’ve made many waxing mistakes over the years! Most recently I ended up with a nasty ingrown hair, not near my pussy thankfully, but a couple of inches up towards my belly. Even still, it was right around the elastic on my underwear so it was very annoying. I’m usually good about exfoliating to avoid them, so remember to give yourself a scrub to keep the hair happy when it starts to grow back. I’ve also heated up the was too much so I almost burned myself when I spread it on. Do not make that mistake. Do not burn yourself with hot wax! (Another reason to follow the instructions.) You also want to give yourself a nice clean non-cluttered area for waxing. I always use a water-soluble wax so you can easily clean it up if you drip some, but I’ve also ended up with a waxy sticky mess if I’m not careful (on my hands, in my hair, on the counter tops, floor etc.).
So that’s my advice from the waxing trenches! And now it’s time for me to take my own great advice and do some grooming …
