Now you hear us

Maestro and I have been working on audio short stories to publish on Literotica! I’ve learned a few things along the way (I’ll make it a list so it looks more official.)

  1. Writing a story and writing a script are very different. Maestro edited the stories considerably to turn them into a script, and focus on the dialogue.
  2. Do a dry run first. Maybe a couple. Get used to reading your story, or better yet, don’t read it. Get comfortable with it. Get the thoughts inside your head and tell a story. Don’t read a script. (Easier said than done!)
  3. Do your tongue twisters. Seriously – warm up your lips and tongue! You need to articulate, and not slur your words. Unless you’re drunk in the story, and then slur away!
  4. Get a drink of water. Avoid lip smacking and other dry mouth sounds.
  5. Don’t speak directly into the mic so you don’t get the popping Ps and Bs. If you have one of those screens, great – if not, watch out. Check out your mic specs and do some testing. “Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.” Repeat. You get it.

I’ll keep adding more. These are only the obvious ones that come to mind. And when it comes to erotic stories, it definitely helps when Maestro starts playing with me when I’m recording. It’s like reliving the story all over again … orgasms included!
